In the context of artificial intelligence and data analysis, an endogenous variable is a variable that is influenced or determined by other variables in a model. This means that the value of the endogenous variable depends on the values of the exogenous variables, that is to say the independent variables which have not been influenced by other variables in the model. Endogenous variables are often used in prediction models to explain the relationships between different variables and to help predict future outcomes.
